INSIDE SPORTS:
A PLAYER'S PERSPECTIVE

WHO I AM
Hello! My name is Travis Hall, and I am the Senior Coordinator of Social Media for Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants. Prior to my move to San Francisco, I spent time in Minor League Baseball, NCAA Divison I football and the American Hockey League.
On top of the day-to-day management of our @SFGiants platforms and live-covering more than 400 events since 2022, my greatest accomplishment has been creating and implementing new TikTok and Instagram strategies. After tripling our video production on TikTok, our following exploded by more than 244,000 followers (80.4% growth). It became our fastest-growing platform, garnering 83.8 million views and 9.2 million likes. In 2024 specifically, Giants TikTok earned sixth place across all of Major League Baseball in terms of likes and engagements, respectively. On Instagram, we increased our posting cadence by 143.4% in 2024 compared to 2022, resulting in over double the engagements while still ranking sixth in MLB in engagements per post (31,037).
As a former NCAA All-American hockey player, social media in the sports and entertainment space has been near and dear to me since I was a teenager. So, I've dedicated the past eight years to building a career in the industry. Since then, I've had the privilege of managing accounts or creating content for over 8 million followers and have seen my work featured on ESPN, NBC Sports, Fox Sports, MLB, and more. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me, and please feel free to reach out.

"Travis took great initiative this year and did a good job adapting as new things came up. In fact, I had to slow him down a bit as he wanted to take on more. He was quick to learn what worked well on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and improve. I was impressed as Travis was always willing to help internally and he did so with a great attitude."
- Chip Maxson, President & Chief Operating Officer at Sacramento River Cats

11 BROTHERS
Submitted by the university for the 2021 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Best Digital Video Segment Award, 11 Brothers was a brand new, original series I created and developed for the Southern Miss football program that took fans behind the scenes with the team, including interviews, mic'd up segments, locker room access and more. Airing weekly during the season, I wrote, directed, filmed and edited each episode while managing the show's narrator and three graduate assistants. Multiple episodes aired on Fox Sports and MSG Network, and the entire first season can be viewed below or on Southern Miss Football and Southern Miss Athletics social media channels.

11 Brothers - Episode 12 - One Last Ride

11 Brothers - Episode 11 - Bigger than the Game

11 Brothers - Episode 10 - Well Equipped
"What impressed me most about Travis is that he keeps himself informed; he reads up on current events and has genuine interest in the world around him. Beyond that, Travis is well-rounded. His resumé is impressive, and it shows he is able to juggle several obligations. He is organized and can manage multiple tasks."
- Jaime Fettrow-Alderfer, Emmy Award-winning broadcaster and Assistant Professor of English at Lebanon Valley College

PHOTOGRAPHY
"There isn't a bad thing anyone could ever say about Travis. He comes every day willing to work and wanting to get better. I will forever walk through the locker room and always think of him."

The IceHogs will be in the midst of a road trip on Jan. 16, but in Kevin Lankinen’s home country of Finland, more than two million people will be tuning in to the nation’s annual sports gala. However, this year, the ceremony means a little more to the goaltender, as his efforts to promote youth literacy in Finland have earned him a nomination for the Role Model of the Year Award.
CALLING IT A CAREER: KRIS VERSTEEG TO FINISH WITH FAMILY
November 19, 2019
The decision to step away from the Rockford IceHogs was not one Kris Versteeg took lightly. The veteran forward vocalized his intent to retire at the end of the season when he announced his departure from the Chicago Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate on Sunday afternoon. It was an emotional goodbye, but sometimes there are circumstances bigger than the game, and for Versteeg, that comes in the form of family.
